Did anybody ever try the vtec conversion kit made by blackworks in ebay. Looks promising but I can i trust it, so if anybody ever tried it out let me know your suggestion. I tried searching for like reviews and all but came up with nothing.

 

BUMP noone ever tried this out. How is this compared to the Golden Eagle ones?

 

I think I might order it to check it out tomorrow. I gotta give customer service a call first though lol.

why not just get something that you can depend on? like the GE one or the full-race kit

www.full-race.com. i used theirs when i did my b20vtec. it only comes with everything you need except the headgasket

 

Do I need a specific headgasket for this. I know about the 84 mm bore but other than that do I need a specific one? Also what ecu do I use im plannign to use a p28 witha b20vtec basemap

 

Hmmm good point moua lol. I'm just going to wait till this guy gets the other kits back in stock then. Civic-one, A P28 thats chipped could work for you.

Ive been trying to get a hold of those guys selling the kit in this forum but no reply until now. I dont know whats going on but I want to order already.

 

I love the GE kits very complete and very simple. HAve used over a dozen with no hangups/problems. Maybe a little pricier, butwell worth it. little info on our kits

1 year warranty on all hardware. Head gaskets i cant warranty but we tell all our dealers to work with customer to take care of them.

1. BlackWorks Vtec Conversion Sandwich Plate with a -6AN fitting for the plate and head.
2. BlackWorks -6AN steel braided teflon hose for oil supply
3. BlackWorks Vtec Conversion Dowels for proper alignment for the head to block without machining
4. BlackWorks 1/8 NPT tap and plug for the oil port in the head
5. BlackWorks worked factory head gasket in 81MM, 84MM size's only. Dowel holes opened for proper installation

 

can you come up with anything on your own or do you just copy other shops hard work?
shops like blalckworks are a joke they take other shops hard work and make cheep copy's most made over seas with cheep material and poor quality control. shops like this give our industry a bad rep. look at all blackworks products every thing they make is a direct copy of some other shops hard work please do not support shops like them it can only be a bad thing for all involved

we hate to post like that but shops like blackworks hurt good shops like skunk2 and golden eagle with there copying parts it just sucks that we put all the hard work in to designing a part only for them to make cheep copy's

 

i hear ya. us honda duders are broke and i see alot of cheap companies learn of that and try to take advantage of people like us "oh hey we are the same as the other companies but cheaper buy from us"

Wait? Golden Eagle gives free stickers? I have been jipped.

 

machine shop here does. i got hooked up with a shoebox full of eagle/wiseco/nhra/etc stickers.

 

Golden Eagle gets my vote!
