Default vtec and the butterflies on a gsr..??

if your 2ndary butterflies don't open when you hit vtec on a gsr, you wont feel the vtec pull correct?? I think thats what happening to my car because when i'm in vtec, I can't feel it, but I can hear a change in the exhaust noise... i'm pretty sure all my wires are wired right because I have no codes.. I suspsect my problem lies in the routing of those darn vacuum lines that go into that little canister under the manifold.... have any of you guys experienced this??? or is it just me??

They shouldn't open when you hit VTEC, rather later on in the REV range. You won't be able to tell by ECU or codes. As far as I know they are vacum controlled. My friend had an H22A swap in an accord and his secondarys weren't working either and the dyno proved it. Leaky vacum line was the culpret.
