the head will bolt right on to your block. u will need a vtec ecu to engage vtec or use an rpm activated switch to engage vtec. both will require a lil wiring. if u get a vtec ecu u will need the harness as well or u will have to add some wires to yours. what year dx is it?

can i jus buy a and use that as the rpm switch that would turn the on? ohh and for the wiring can i jus hook the sensor and wha ever else needs to be hooked up jus to ground and power instead of buyin a harness. im doin this to my 89 civic 4 door LX automatic ..... ohh and for headers ... i buy for the 95 vtec head rite?

Back off, Spoon (Sorry, Jojo!). This guy has an honest question.

The correct answer to your situation: Yes, the head will bolt up. You will need additional electronics as stated above (thanks, guys!). Maybe someone on the board is willing to help or recommend a good garage? Anyone?

you could use a vtec controller but i wouldnt recommend relying on that because there are other differences in the ecu that will help you in other ways such as fuel map and timing. I think you need to get a different distributor that will bolt up. not sure tho.

You need, head, some wiring, ECU, a VTEC oil pump, and an oil line that runs to the head.

No, your on drugs. Its a d not b. All you need is a head from 96-01 not 92-95 otherwise the bolt patteron on the head for the distributor will not line up right, and the newer distibutor is not the same for 88-91 and therefore not interchangeable. The bolt pattern on the 96-01 head is that same as 88-91 bolt pattern. Also some sohc heads use 1 longer headbolt, like zc's. Just look at the surface for the headbolt and if one is raised make sure you have a long one. Also make sure you use a headgasket for 92 and up because its metal and a little thinner than the updated metal gasket Honda has for your car.

Just use a vtec controller to activate vtec, that way you can control fuel and you dont have to buy a harness. Pretty much any civic header will fit your car.

vtec controllers will not work unless the car is rewired with a vtec ecu. u can just use an rpm activated switch to engage vtec very simple. also your car has the dual point t/b injectio i believe u might wanna swap that as well. the hybrid board also has quite a bit of info here is their site http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/. try and find an si trans for your lx that will make a pretty good difference in performance for u as the gearing is much shorter than your lx trans.
