Default vtec?

im sure im the 100th guy to come on here and ask, sorry. I got a d16z6 vtec and i cant say iv ever felt it. should a guy be able to or not, and is there a way to set it?how do u know if its working? thanks

ON a stock SOHC Vtec engine you won't feel much. If you adjust your vtec engagement point, you might feel it,but only because your a/f ratio is thrown off from the stock engagement point. Aftermarket intake mani's, short ram/cai intakes and aftermarket cams will make the vtec activation a lot more noticable

i have a d16y8 and it sucks i cant feel the vtec but i can hear it bigger than **** but
my friend has a gsr teg b18c1 and my god when the vtec kicks in you know it lol

dont be sorry, just search.

its very hard to feel vtec on a single cam because it only utilizes vtec on the intake side of the cam. so its 1/2 of DOHC vtec.
