Default vss and why i hate it...

ok so ive apparently broken 2 vehicle speed sensors in the past week. it all stems from my laziness of filling tranny fluid from the vss instead of the fill hole on the side of the tranny. anyway, this last vss, all i did was take it out, lay it gently on my rad support, then put it back in. now my speedo doesnt come off zero. is the vss that fragile that it broke from what i said above? any ideas? btw this is a b series hydro tranny

One of my pins was corroded too. I just sanded it down and bent it a little so it made better contact....
