So my cel light came on when I was driving and my speedometer briefly went out . Went to aap and did a diagnostics check that my vss ( vehicle speed sensor ) was out. ( as I suspected ) parts coming in two days. But my speedometer is working again as my cel lights still on . I still have to do emissions so not sure if I need this sensor to clear the code.
Also can't seem to find where my vss is actually located . Help ? Please ?

 

clear the code. go to under hood fuse box pull fuse labeled "back up" pull this fuse for 10 sec, put back in should be golden.

many ppl will tell you pull ecu fuse, some times that works but most of the time to 100% sure pull the back up fuse

 

vss is located on top of the trans

More times than not, there is a dirty/corroded contact(s) on the sensor plug causing a contact issue
