Default Vss help after tranny swap

Hi guys,

I swapped the S4C tranny for a S9B LSD, the 2 VSS are different types, one a long one with a gear on the bottom and one bolt mount, the other a short 2 bolt item with no gear. Both same electrical connector.

Speedo not working after swap and im having trouble finding a different VSS for the new box. I also have code 17 vss.

Question - Is the wiring different on these 2 different VSS's ?

Craig

Ok guys, swapped for another VSS and still the same.

Is there any differences at all in the wiring/pinout of these 2 types?

Problem solved. The centre pin on the harness side is slightly damaged. Fixed and working.

Cheers

hey i have a question about a posting that you did. I have a 2000 acura integra gsr, i have removed my tranny from my integra and the speed sensor connector was attached to the tranny when we were pulling the tranny off of the motor. and the wires where pulled of the connnector, and the possitions to the 3 pins are almost impossible to find. i have tryied using alldata and there are no connector views and not even acura dealership could help me. i have the one connector with the BLUE/WHITE, BLACK, BLACK/YELLOW wires. and i may have shorted the speed guage by trying to guess the possitions. I want to get a guage cluster but i dont wanna short that one out aswell. SO MY QUESTION IS, DO YOU KNOW THE POSSITIONS OF THE THREE WIRES THAT GO INTO THE CONNECTOR?
