VSS gremlin. searched
I'm so mad right now. I have a 96 ex accord AT. The VSS went bad I replaced it. Then the check engine light came back on after about 30 miles. I cleaned inside the clip and used dielectric grease. The light was gone but just came on on my way to work. This time I almost hit 150 miles before the light came on. The car runs great even when the light is on. This is one of the most annoying issues I have delat with on hondas. I need some help before I pull my F'in hair out. Any suggestions would be great. I may end up just driving with the freakin light on
ive had this **** happen before. my speedo wasnt working for probably 8k miles last summer, even with me trying a bunch of diff. things.
eventually i got a new plug, de pinned it and thoroughly cleaned the contacts, then re pinned it and soldered it into my harness. i havent had a problem since

Everything works and the code is 17. I may have to de pin and solder too. I will have to go to the J yard and pick up a plug end. I will try this as soon as it stops raining.
