Default VSS

i just had a question about a VSS... i have the stock engine (d-series) engine in my civic... and i found a speed sensor for a b-series, but i didnt think that would fit, however my brother has one for a d-series but its from a manual, and my civic is automatic... we live far apart so before he sends it i wanted to know if it fits?
