vibration under load?
i just swaped my h22 into my 94 si, im using hcp mounts,h22 intermidiat shaft
with cusom axles.when i put the car under load it vibrates and when i put in the clutch the vibration goes away i dont think the axles are binding.when im sitting in one spot free reving the vibration is still there but not as much as when im driveing.it almost feels like the car is running on 3 cylinders.i did a leak down test and that turned out perfect.im wondering if there is something wrong with my tranny?can someone help me out please?this one is off topic but im wondering i have a 92 accord manual trans would this bolt up to my h22 and give me longer gearing than my h22 trans?im going to be putting my turbo on in the summer will this tranny be better for me.will i have to change my clutch disc also?

we pulled the tranny apart to change the dif.reason why i bought the trans from
a friend and the dif was welded.so i put a new one in.i did'nt touch the clutch or fly wheel. i wounder if i did some thing wrong when i changed the dif .i followed step by step in the honda manual.(will the accord trans work on my h22 or should i open up the h22 trans and see whats wrong ,if there is anything wrong?thanks for getting back to me.

Sometimes if you don't line up the clutch and stuff right you can get some bad vibrations. But doesn't sound like thats an issue.
Just systamatically narrow it down.
Determine if its speed dependent or rpm dependent.
Does it do it with the clutch engaged or disengaged?
What side of the car is it coming it from?
These are just ideas to help you narrow it down....usually if you just play Sherlock for a 'lil bit, you can narrow mechanical stuff down.

On two separate occasions with my old Camry, the entire car would vibrate violently under load, between ~50mph and ~75mph. Below or above that range it would be fine. In both instances the axles were the problem. I think the inner joint was shot to hell.
