I did a recent tune up on a 00 civic si I bought for a daily. It had a slight tap to begin with so I took a day and went through and gave it a good tune up. Upon pre adjustment, some of the valves were loose, some tight. I went by specs, .006 int/.007exh.
Once I get done crank the car, the noise is way louder now, especially driving. Could it be bad lma's? Worn springs? Im going to go back throught and re-adjust and check everything again.
Any input may help!
Thanks,
Jay

Make ssure all the lock nuts are tight and didn't come loose. I've seen somebody do a valve adjustment, forget to tighten one of the lock nuts and it was really loud. If everything checks out fine then the lma's could be bad.

Yea Im gonna have to do that tomorrow while im off. I check my work 3 times before hand so i know the lock nuts are tight. As far as the LMA's, 4-5 hour job?
