No it has it's own sensor on the back of the motor next to the oil filter.

It's weird I have a wiring diagram of the car but nowhere mentions of an oil pressure sensor just the vtec one

Depends on what you're using for referance. FSM shows the pressure switch to dash light in the electrical section for the dash or gauge diagram. The pressure switch itself is referanced several times in other section like the engine and fuel/emissions section.

if you have to replace it remember it's i/8 bspt threads not 1/8 npt, if you want t o add a gauge etc, you need the adapter to convert to 1/8 npt

in that case, the lamp should have 1 wire going directly to a power source powered only when the ignition is on, and have the other lamp wire going directly to the oil pressure sensor. the sensor (switch) should ground to the block when pressure is lot, closing the circuit and illuminating the light, and will open the circuit shutting the light off when pressure is up.

get an adapter anyway and get a switch that comes on at a higher pressure, those idiot lights are worthless, come on right before the engine starts tearing itself a new one, between 3-5 psi usually, a switch that comes on at 20 psi is a lot more useful, much more warning that something is up, best is a quality oil pressure gauge
