Default valvespring remover

anyone know where i can get one? i have the little over head valve one from autozone but it doent work. for a b16 head

i have a snap-on and matco, but craftsman makes one u can get it at sears if u dont wanna spend much $$.

to only take off the springs and retainers.. i use a socket and a hammer..

you take like a 19mm socket.. put it on the retainer.. and hit it it will compress the spring to fast.. .that the Keepers just fall out.. and then.. BINGO .. you got your spring and valve out and off...

but good look puting them back on.. WITHOUT the tool..

You need an driver piece from goodson.com to use the C-clamp spring compressor from Sears. Without the driver, the compressor doesn't work on deep-skirted heads. It's much easier for one person to use with the head off the block than the overhead compressor.

yeah that's what I've used to remove and install the valve springs on my ol' b18a engine. just use compress air to keep the valves up.

THAT ACTUALLY IS THE SAME ONE SNAPON CARRIES ON THERE TRUCK. THERE KNOWN FOR USING OTHER PEOPLES RELIABLE TOOLS AND BRANDING THEM SNAPON. I PAID 125.00 FOR MINE THEN I SAW THOSE ,DOH!!
