Valvespring install
My car currently is sitting with the cams removed, waiting for that snapon tool to come so I can install my ITR valvesprings and cams into my GSR. Is there anything I need to watch out for when doing the install?
I have a hose from a compression gauge that I'm going to use to shoot compressed air into the cylinders so I don't drop the valves. How much pressure, and do I keep it constantly on? What about draining the oil when doing this?
I also looked at the keepers, and this is the only thing that holds the valve up when reving to 8500? Jeez, what a scary thought, but I guess honda knows what they're doing. Let me know if I should pay special attention to anything so I don't mess things up. Thanks.

apply air to the cylinders through the spark plugs holes. i usally keep 100psi at all times and yes a magnet is a must. yes good idea about putting rags in the holes will save yourself a big headache. i used my fingers for the installation of the keepers but a big or small set of tweezers works well.
good luck and take your time.
remember paint up
blue=exhaust
orange/red/yellow=intake

good info chugger. I'm so paranoid that the keepers won't hold for some reason and when I rev to 8k+ it'll all just blow up, but I guess it's just because I've never done this sort of thing before. I'll let you all know how it goes

Also put something down around your engine bay..
to keep them from falling down in bay.. it's a REAL PITA to find them once they have fallen.
if this is your first time installing springs.. those retainers will fly.. they will fall and you will cuss at them
hint : A pick set and be handy sometime too

Good, you're doing everything right. Keep the pressure at 50-60 psi, that is plenty. Make sure the car is in gear, and the emergency brake is on.
Before you try and compress the spring to remove it, take a large socket put it on the retainer and tap it with a hammer. This will jar the retainer loose. Not too hard, or the keepers will pop right out. Make sure the air is on when you do this.
Ohh, and why you are there, might as well do new valve stem seals.
