Default Valve Seat?

Hey guys I was just talking to one of my friends and we were wondering if you have to replace the factory valve seats when doing a valve job? Since they are already close to the factory limits...Or do you guys just run them as is, unless absolutley needed?

Thanks
J.J.

You don't have to replace the seats on a typical valve job unless the seats can't be cleanly resurfaced within spec. Not that it's a bad idea, older parts have greater chance of cracking or otherwise failing.

Thanks, on my head we ended up doing it...this is a head shop and hes starting to get into hondas and asked me that question..so as long as they can be surfaced in spec they do not need to be replaced..thanks
