Default Valve Cover Problem------------------------------->

I was trying to remove my b16a2 valve cover to strip it with aircraft paint remover. However while removing one acorn nut, it started taking out the threaded post also. I immediately stopped taking it off because I could see the "hexagon" shaped bottom of the post stripping. (I hope you guys understand what im trying to desribe.) How to I get the valve cover off without ruining the post and screwing myself? How do I fix that post? Thanks for any help, something so easy turned into something crappy.

You can buy new ones, they're pretty cheap too. I broke one once tightening that plastic spark plug wire onto the valvecover. Scared the poo out of me

Yup, just use a deep socket. The guys at Honda said that the intake and exhaust side bolts are different, so keep that in mind. They had one in stock but had to order the other one (one I needed). Took about a day, no big deal.

be careful when replacing that bolt if its a 12mm one (onthe inside of the valve cover then it needs to be torqued to 16ft lbs, if its one of the studs on the outside then it is less critical but the torque is 7.2 ft lbs

Yea those bitches suck when they break. But oh well just replace it, that's what my friend had to do on his GSR.
