Valve Adjustment Specs
Ok, the mechanic adjusted my valves and set my timing...but he used a book that specs for the valve gapping on a D16A6 but my engine is in a 1997 Civic CX hatchback, and if I am not mistaken doesn't this car have the D16Y7? Are the gaps the same, or should I take it back and have them set again?

Typical valve adj specs call for .007 on intake rocker to cam
and .009 exhaust rocker to cam clearences...
i would not go any thighter than that...

What are the specs for the D16Y7. I think he fooked things up...he put exhaust 9:11 and intake 7:11. He used the D16A6 specs, now I'm getting low power and a knocking sound. Valves are louder than before!!!! HELP PLEASE!!!!
