Valve adjustment...
Today I decided I didn't like the stock black on my valve cover. I stripped it with some toxic paint thinner. Looks a whole lot better. After I finished, I examed my head. Hehe, not that one. And the valves seem very loose, most of them. They do kindof make a valve slap, so I figured they would be like that anyway. I have the exact numbers on adjustments, but don't know the proper tool do it it. So it is exact, if obvisouly is like a torque wrench. If someone could help out that would be great, thanks.

They are going to be loose to the touch, you need to use a feeler gauge and check the tolerances. Just by rocking them won't tell you if they are out of adjustment.
Oh, and they will tick a bit even after adjusting them.

How did you check them? You have to have the cams aligned(using the arrows on the cam pulleys) and check once cylinder at a time. Move the cams again and check another cylinder, move the cams again and check another cylinder and so forth until you checked all the cylinders.
You cant check them by just taking off the valve cover and using feeler gauges(there is a procedure).

Did you guys know that at #1 TDC, you can also adjust #2 Intake and #3 Exhaust. Then rotate the balancer 360 degrees to #4 TDC (you see the mark again). You can also adjust #2 Exhaust and #3 Intake as well as #4 I & E. Saves a lot of time!
