Default Valve Adjustment

Hello,

Planning on getting a valve adjustment this week on my 2001 GSR. Is there anything in particular that I should know? Some people were saying to get the valves done a little tighter than stock but I just wanted to get some opinions. Is there a certain amount that you can actually get them to tighten the valves tighter (SAFLEY)?

Thanks,

Steve

I would just stay within stock specs. If there was a performance aspect to "tighter valves" im sure it would have come that way from the factory.

Thats what I thought. I generally like to stay within stock specs to avoid any problems....

Its just that my friend was saying that there might be a certain tolerance that can be considered within stock, just a little more performance oriented. I dont mean to sound like a moron but I really have no clue about this......
