Default Valve adjusment

I need to know what to adjust my valves too. i have a 90 integra LS. they are tapping like a bitch.

.017mm intake and .019mm exhaust.

aight i did that and now it runs like a friggin go kart. its sputters and sounds like a 2 cycle at idol and has lost all of its power and alomst stalls when i let out the clutch. now what in de hell is wrong with it?????????????????????????????????????

You have adjusted them wrong. I would suggest taking your vehicle to the nearest honda/acura specialist or dealer to check your job and/or make the necessary adjustments. -HIT

THey should be tighter than that.

The non-VTEC motors run tighter valve clearances.

B18A are .017mm and .019mm, just like the VTEC motors.
B18B valve lash is .010mm and .018mm.

did you rotate each cylinder to TDC before adjusting its valves?

yea, and make sure you're not only rotating them to TDC, but that your actually working on the cylinder thats currently at TDC. people make mistakes and forget. it happens

no i rotated the crank made sure each cylinder i adjusted was on TDC of the inake stroke. and i adjusted them right. i found out what i did wrong. plug wires were on wrong.

i adjusted them 1 3 4 2 and i think thats the firing order

yes, that's correct. bring #1 cyl to tdc, and adjust both intake and exhaust valves, then tdc #3cyl and adjust, tdc # 4cyl and adjust, tdc # 2 cyl and adjust. good luck!

ya i did that. i adjusted them to .017 intake and .019 exhaust but they still seem to be tappin. anyone got anyclue why????????
