VAFC Uninstallation help!!! ASAP
Ok im taking out my VAFC cause i sold it. my buddy installed it for me and did it the correct way by soldering all the connections to my ECU harness.
as you know there is a clip harness before the final solder point. Im wondering if i just unclip this and leave the tail end of the VAFC still soldered to my ECU will it cause problems? this makes it much easer for me since im just going to unclip the VAFC and give it to my buddy. this way i dont have to go in and re-solder all my connections and also leaves me with the harness should i ever want to put it back in.
will leaving it cause problems? does it create an open circuit or some sort? (sorry, im not much of a 9volt guy)

It will create an open in the MAP sensor, the car won't run, or it will be extremely pissed off. Give it a shot if you like. The only right thing to do it unsolder it. It's a pain, but that's the price you pay for doing things right.
On a side note,
for soldering it to begin with. Most people halfass it.
