Default VAFC Bad???

Has anyone ever had a VAFC that didn't work? I just installed a used one and the vtec won't engage. I have a chipped p28 which usually set off vtec at 5600, but now nothing happens. The VAFC says that vtec is on, but nothing happens. I had this installed at a shop, and everything works except this. What could be wrong?

could simply be that they hooked it up wrong. I mean its always a possibility. Just don't overlook anything. Check the wiring, check your vtec oil pressure switch, check your ecu just double check it all and make sure that you have the settings correct on your vafc.

check to see in the settings what the V/T CONT says for L->H and H->L. If it says **** then there are no changes made by the vafc.
Or maybe the purple wire or pink wire from the vafc is not connected properly to your cars wiring harness, also check the yellow wire and white wire
