Vafc, 255 fuel pump, H22....
Ok so my fuel pump in the HF went out (duh) after 2 weeks with the h22 in it. I bought a walbro 255 pump and put in it. Pump works, i have pressure, i floor it and it kinda nose dives, prob because it's a stock motor with the 255 pump. So i'm assuming it's pumpin too much fuel in the motor, does anyone think that maybe my vafc could lean it out (i don't have it tuned at all just the vtec point), or is my only choice to break down and buy a regulator? I only bought this pump because I have a turbo that I'm putting on it as soon as i get the $ to finish buyin the other stuff to make it work. Also, what kind of injectors do u suggest and how many cc's for a T3? Thanks.
yes the vafc can lean it out, make sure to tune it on a dyno with wideband o2 though. rc engineering is well known for injectors. what size depends on how much boost. i plan on using 310 cc for a 100 shot nitrous on my d16.
Yep, the V-AFC could very well lean it out. I would definitely get a fuel psi gauge on the filter, and also get an FPR so you can control that bad boy.
Get that thing tuned!
And for having a T3 on the H22, I would go with 550cc injectors.

Ok for the vafc...i really don't have to good of an idea on how to lean it out properly. (Yes, I did the swap but have no clue on vafc's). I'd assume go to wide throttle and narr throttle, but from there out I'm not sure on like how far the numbers should go or anything else. If you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it on exact numbers and anything else I should know how to do on the vafc. 550cc? That's kinda alot don't ya think? The turbo is just a little bigger than a TD05 (1st gen clipse), and I'm only going to run 7 or 8 psi (stock motor). But I do have a NOS 50 shot on it too, so I'm not sure.
Welp, I wasn't sure on how much you were planning on boosting or anything, so it would depend. On that case, DSM 450's would work well too
We can't give you exact numbers to tune your VAFC with. It's going to be different for every setup. You'll have to tune it on a dyno with a wideband o2.
