Default VAFC 2, that much better than the original VAFC ??

Ok I know most of you will want to scream hondata to me...but my setup is too mild for me to really get the full benefits out of hondata. I'll be switching to hondata after the summer.

Ok, so I've got a b18c1, I/H/E, Skunk2 IM, S2S1 cams, mugen headgasket, chipped p28 ecu. Ok so, as most of you could have guessed I'm running really rich. I'm about to buy a vafc and hop on a dyno. I know the vafc 2 has more rpm incriments to tune by, but is it that much better than the original vafc?? The price difference between the two is pretty substantial b/c I can get the original used for pretty cheap. Any experience you wanna share with either would be great.

Mike

To switch over to hondata is too expensive right now...I'm pretty much going to stick with what I've got til I swap in new pistons and rods, then more aggressive cams over summer. Also the closest place to install hondata and tune it is Jotech and they're 5 1/2 hours away.

I heard the VAFC 2 can contain different setting profiles. Like you can have a certain profile for winter and one for summer. Also, its new so warranty wise and stuff like that will be better supported. You will never know when the older VAFC will be discontinued and stop being supported.

wait im confused, you have the money for the VAFC2 but not for the hondata when you can get the hondata s100 for 245 (cheap then the VAFC). and dyno time should be shorter with hondata since its more accurate. **** 245 for a fully programable ECu is damn good in my book

I'd have to get the Hondata tuned (2-3hours)...and I can adjust the vafc in my town by jumping on someones dyno. ......anyway.....this is not the stupid *** debate I wanted to get into.
