Default v8 killer

I have a 00 em1 with 65k on it. How much would it cost to build a reliable V8 killer. It doesnt have to be with my b series, I am open to all ideas.

I say go k series... with cams and bolt-ons you could make a easy 240whp... depending on the tune and other bull.... also if your cars hevay... might want to think about losing some weight.... lighter seats... battery..etc.

a k20 with bolt ons and cams in your civic probably would not beat most cars with lightly modified V8s at the track. by lightly modified i mean bolt ons and some tuning, with which most mustangs/camaros would be in the low 13s/ high 12s depending on the car/driver. your best bet (in my opinion) would probably be to build the b16 you have in there now with low compression parts, and boost it. with a good build, a decent sized turbo and a good amount of boost, with some slicks and an lsd trans, you could easily run 12s, possibly 11s.

yes, your on the right path. forget about the K, it will cost 2 to 3 times as much and will not be as fast as a boosted b. pm me if you need a turbo kit, i gots the hook up either way good luck.
