Default Using Switches instead of Key and Ignition Switch?

I want to Convert my car over to using switches as the ignition, and eventually want to get rid of the key all together.
Does anyone know how to wire the ignition switch to use switches instead of the actual tumbler switch?

You need to locate:
Ignition Wire
Starter Wire
12V Constant Power
Accessory Wire

Hint: All of these can be found on the ignition key switch.

Then get yourself 40A or 50A toggle switches.
Take the wires from the key switch, wire them to the toggles, and bam! done.

If you cant wire a toggle switch, or locate these wires, you shouldn't be doing this task for the sake of you and your car.

If thieves want a car, they'll take it, switch or not, doors locked or not. I do think it adds a bit of easiness to the whole stealing part, though. Hide a contact switch under the carpet somewhere that you have to step on to get the signal to go to the starter.

Go to an auto parts store, or a local big shop like a firestone or good year..

Ask them if they can look up the ignition wirining diagram for your car and print it out..

They usually do it for free...

Or u can just buy a manual

Under the carpet inside the car, not under the car.

You do realize it's possible that this person's intentions could be theft to begin with. After all, he's asking how to start a car without the key. Not passing judgement in any way or making accusations, just pointing out the facts.

Insert Marijuana Here, thank you for putting this thread back on track. does anyone have a wiring diagram for this? or has anyone done it? this is a race car, not a street car. it is parked in a locked garage.

I hope that comment was made in jest, but if you really believe that, then wow.

OP: I have PMed you with some help. I would not attempt this without the Helm's manual, as the rest are pretty much worthless unless you need to change your alternator, or other mundane task.

i could get all the wire colors for you if you want. I have the above switch panel on my race car.

If you don't like the the panel the switches do come out and you can put them in whatever you want. Mine is in that switch panel for now, but will be in a CF switch panel

You are also going to have to disable the steering lock. That will be a lot harder than rewiring the switch. Just a toggle to the ACC and ON wires, and a safety toggle for the starter.

What will your insurance company say when you disable some of the security features of your car and make it easier to steal?
