URGENT WIRING ISSUES
I'm swapping out my D16y5 (SOHC VTEC-E) for a D16y8 (SOHC VTEC) and i wanted to konw if i could use my D16y5 wiring harness for the y8....I have another wiring harness but it doesnt plug into either of hte P2P (y8) ECUs right...only 2/3 of the plugs on the harness fit the ECU and the 3rd plug is for the gauge cluster...so there's an empty socket on the ECU (there's 2 empty sockets, one doesnt have pins thougH).
Help asap...my car is 1/2 way in my garage and we're awaiting a reply from this thread.
Thanks in advance

how the hell do i run the wires for VTEC into the ECU? dont' they have to be pre-wired with the clips that are at the end of the harness....p.s. i am not mechanically inclinded..my friend is doing alll thsi for me...could he handle it?
And apparently your friend is not qualified to do it, becuase you are here.

Will tell you which pins VTS and VTM are.
You will need the sensor plugs (sounds like you already have a usable harness to steal them from), and you will basically need something like this to go into the back of the chassis harness ecu plugs to connect to the ecu:

The chassis harness ecu plugs are in the foreground.
