After I wash the engine bay, my engine light came on when I start the car and it flashes at first and then it becomes soild, the car shakes very bad, steering wheel is very shaky and the car feels like is going to stall any minute, when I step on the gas, I don't get the same sound..

anything else I should check for.. I let the engine bay dried up and didn't start the car to test it until a day after, I have wash the engine bay before with degreaser and this has never happen

any tips?????????

 

Hi there.

Well actualy I could think of build of humidity into one of your critical part of your motor. I would suggest to check out your cap rotor of your distributor, may be the gasket is getting worn by the time and some water infiltrated the interior rotor. Just unscrew it and clean it up very carefully. also check all your wiring harness that goes up to fireplug may there is water accumulation in there also. Propably time could get the problem out, but I pretty sure that water penetrated somewhere it can't evaporate easily !!!! Next time you do motor shampoo, be sure to put plastic bag over fire plug components and also alternator and some important electric components. This will avoid any unpleasent surprise like what happenned to you !!

when the check light is blinking when your car is on, it means that the engine is misfiring badly, take apart your dizzy cap and dry it up pretty good, also dry up the spark plug holes
