Default upgrading pistons???

i have my b16a3 apart and am having the rings replaced. i was thinking about upgrading/replacing the pistons while i have the motor apart cuz it makes sense. i might as well get new pistons and not have to worry about getting new ones in the future. my question is, what is a good upgrade that will not hurt my wallet? should i get Civic Type R pistons? new stock p30 pistons???? jdm b16a pistons?

im not looking to completely build my bottom end, i just want a little more power and a stronger, longer lasting piston to replace my old ones.

if it helps, i have a .30 milled head and basic bolt ons. give me your adviceg guys.

well, your only oem option you really have is jdm p30's, since pct's with your milled head will put your compression in around 12.3, but the biggest problem would be piston to valve clearance and piston to head clearance.since remember that pct's stick .01 out of the block already.

what is the difference between JDM P30's and PR3's?

wont it bump his compression up only .2? the usdm and SiRI JDM b16 has 10.2:1 and JDM B16A SirII has 10.4:1

so you are saying that CTR pistons are out. should i go with jdm sirII pistons since the comp. ratio is slightly higher? or should i just go with the stock p30's with new rings?

well, ctr's are really not worth the trouble, they are also a lot heavier than the rest of b-series.
if you are buying new pistons anyways, then yeah i would say get jdm p30's; if not dont waste your money for .2 compression increase.

well i can get ctr pistons for 185 brand new. some guys that ive talked to would say that my motor would be a beast with them in considering that i would be running an 11.4-11.6:1 compression ratio. they wont clear the valves though?
