Default under the valvecover.

today I was in my garage, idling my car, and the two outer-rear valvecover nuts/washers were not in, I was just runing it for a while and then might have needed to take it off, so i only used 6 oof the 8

the thing is... I was getting a smoke being pumped out in bursts, a steady stream, but puff puffing, if you know what I mean.

I'm just wondering if all that smoke under the valvecover is normal, and does it usually just get sucked out by the intake when she's sealed? and in the case of a breather, I'm guessing it would just force it's way out the filter element?

I did a search but 'valve cover' got me like 652 topics

It's normal for you oil to get hot and start to become vapors. If your seeing vapors while your valve cover is tightened down then I would think that your valve cover gasket it leaking and needs to be replaced. I think I need a little more explanation on what's really going on.
