Default type R piston w/ b18b head

I think it should be ok to use type R piston in stock b18b engine, (well the rod has to be mod to fit)

I just wanna confirm this before I do it... will there be any gain in this setup...

it depends on which ITR pistons your using head gasket etc,yes you will fill a noticeable difference.i have usdm sluggs in my b18 bottem end and other than the rod modd,they work flawlessly

I suppose this raise the compression ratio. will it cause damage to the engine... in other words.. how reliable is this setup...? I am not planning to rev it past 7500rpm

and it should work with stock b18b gasket, or I should change to another kind?
