Default Type R mods

I have a 2000 civic si and want to put some integra type r parts on it. I want to start with the intake manifold. Is this a direct bolt on. Anyone with experience doing this and any other mods i would appreciate info from.

yes it is a direct bolt on, get the tb too if you can with the intake manifold, and the jdm itr 4-1 headers would also be nice, and then there are the itr cams

Why would you want to bolt on the ITR intake manifold? It's basically the same thing! Waste of time and money. People who tell you to do things like this are just trying to sell you their used parts.

I'd go for a skunk2 IM over an ITR. And I believe I've read that the ITR manifold requires some modification for it to fit a B16 head.

I like the ITR intake manifold, the Skunk 2 IM looks like a piece of ****. I really don't care if the Skunk makes more power, cuz OEM parts are the ****. Also i think that the ITR IM looks better than the B16A but for the money and the hp increase i really wouldn't do it, unless you're building ur motor.

that's false.
A type-R manifold IS better than a stock B16a manifold. Power up top feels way more consistant than it does with a stock B16A manifold. STock b16a manifold feels like it struggles up top.

Correct me if I'm wrong; but, isn't the Skunk2 IM a "replica" of the ITR IM, just made to fit other engines (like the b16a).

peace and respect,
Brian

Why am I a homo for stating an opinion? I like the Skunk2 mani. Whats wrong with that? And I am not the one reasoning to get the ITR manifold due to looks. Someone else posted that.

you are soo cool. i wanna be just like you. soooo elite.

I find it amasing how someone who wants information on this board gets people laughing at them. Its like you never learned the kindergarden rules.

Ignorance does not equal stupidity.

You will need to tune it when you put the manifold on. ITR TB might not work cuz I have expierence B16 (99-00 models) with ITR TB , the engine idles at 1500-2000rpm.
