hey, someone i know is sellin a type-r block for 500$.... here is the catch.. he was bringin it to a shop and he was in a rush and it fell off the back of his truck.... it looks like its in ok shape.. my friend is gunna take it to his machine shop and take a look at it and see if it can be used.. my question is what r the chances of it being fucked up... and if it is fucked up should i still buy it for the pistons and the rods etc... he says it only had 3k miles on it but idk how true that is.. the insides look very clean though... any comments would help thanks!

 

you could part it out for the pistons/rods, crank and maybe even the oil squirters...

also the oil pump, water pump, and girdle if these items are on the block too...

theres quite a bit of $ left in that block

buy it . $500 is a nice price . i paid 500 for my itr block but it came w/o pistons .
