Default Turbo and Vtec Together

I heard that it is kind of pointless to have both because they kind of cancel each other out but it didnt and still doesnt make sense to me. I figured that it would only help but what do I know. If someone could help me figure this out because I was planning on doing a built GSR turbo. This is going into a 92-95 hatch. Any help would be nice and suggestions or past experience is perfect.

I actually did try the search and nothing was coming up. I searched for turbo and vtech. I didnt want to waste peoples time because im sure the question has been asked many times but i couldnt seem to find anything with the search function. I though that they would work and just make for a dope *** top end with very little bottom end. Anyone else

VTEC has a bit of valve overlap. Meaning both intake and exhaust valves are open at the same time. Its not very long though. Boost can escape through the exhaust valves while their both open. Adjustible cam gears will help dial out the valve overlap.

Or by getting a set of cams designed to reduce valve overlap specifically for boosted applications.
