Default Turbo Guru's, Customize me a setup!!

Ok, I have a 94 GSR (right now with just AEM cam gears, CAI and a 2.5" exhaust) I just bought, and Im looking to put together a turbo kit that will boost no higher then 10 psi, no less then 5psi. What would be a good "bang for the buck" setup? I want it to be intercooled as well. Should I just splurge for the Greddy or DRAG kit? or could I piece together an ideal setup for this by piece cheaper? I really need some expertiseo n this matter, any help or suggestions appreciated.. Thanks guys!

Not to sound like an ***, but get some low compression pistons/rods first and expect the unexpected because **** happens.

YEa, Ive spoke to a friend of mine that builds race motors and he said not to bother with low compression stuff for boost that low. The stock internals on the B18C1 will handle 8psi no problem. Im not lookin to build a track monster, just a street driveable with a little extra kick..

yup, the right way to set up a car for turbo is to lower the compression. However, if your not going to go this far U will at least need to dyno tune the car and get the A/F ratio fixed with FI. Tuning your car is a must if your going FI.

look mang, go buy a greddy kit w/ intercooler and blow off valve. its a bad *** kit, and for now i might recommend a low compression head gasket. (bear with me here guys) piecing together a turbo kit is usually more expensive than buying a complete kit. i had the basic greddy kit on a 98 gs-r, plus low comp. je pistons/ eagle rods, and a b16a head. but i had an xs engineering intercooler, hks blow-off valve, and a bunch of other stuff. it was soooo damn expensive. so for just running 7 or 8 psi, i would recommend just buying a kit. get the greddy, its beautiful.
