I went to the dyno last night but didnt have my timing cover on. I removed it completly. The guy dynoing my car said he couldnt tune cam gears or timing w/out knowing what base timing was so i was kinda stuck but he did tune A/f ration for now and will retune it for me in a couple weeks. Is there any other way to time the car not using the lower part of the cover. What are most of you guys using that dont have timing covers to check timing?

 

thats messed up why didnt he use a timing light to figure out your timing?

 

i had no timing marks cause i had no cover but is there anything else that can be used to judge where timing is using a timing light?
