tuning....what should i use? please help (uberdata, hondata?)
I am in the process of building an engine and i am thinking of using a programmable chip (hondata, uberdata)
first off let me tell you what my build will consist of
LS block with stock bore
ITR pistons
GSR head with a .007" mill
stock headgasket
ported GSR manifold
prelude injectors (should I go larger than 290cc?)
and the ecu i will be using is a JDM P30
I am looking to find a cheap way to properly tune my vehicle (ignition and fuel maps, injector duty cycle, VTEC crossover and rev limiter)
What would be the most effective way to do this without spending upwards of 800 dollars for a standalone ECU?
i would like to know what all i would need to get set in the correct direction in burners and if Hondata and Uberdata and other writeable systems are capable of doing the functions that I mentioned in parenthesis above
thank you to anybody willing to help

also what all would be needed to be able to do datalogging and what is a cheap wideband sensor that is capable of working with datalogging programs for the ecu datalogging system
I have a hondata s200 with datalogging and romeditor. for wideband I use the techedge wbo2..Been using hondata for some years and the techedge for the last year and it works great..I can recommend both
i am not after "i heard this and that" stuff
I want first hand experience and i DO NOT WANT GREDDY E MANAGE because it is not nearly as capable as a reprogrammed chip (hondata, uberdata, chrome, etc.)

If you're OBD1 I would go uberdata. You can get a usb chip burner and socketing kit from http://www.moates.net (~$100) . Uberdata from http://www.ecimulti.org/uberdata ($0). Check out the forums in that link too.
I used the PLX m-500 WB o2 sensor ($500) which has datalogging. But you can datalog with uberdata using a plx m-300 (~$300) or similar sensor. The uberdata forums have more info how to set up datalogging using uberdata, I haven't tried.

Yeah, read everything in the links Brad provided you with. You don't need anything else.

i have read moates.com's page and have had it bookmarked for a few days already
i am just trying to learn what is the best way to do something and I do not have enough money to waste on something that is not best for my setup
and i have yet to hear any really good info about wideband

You can order it here:
http://www.wbo2.com
great unit at a low price.
Yes you can use uberdata instead of hondata. I am just lazy and don't have time to mess around to much so I got something that plugs right in and works.Hondata
Might try out uberdata some day when I got the time. A friend of mine uses it..

Talk to real, live users of UD and widebands in the link to the UD Forum that Brad provided you with. As I stated earlier, you need nothing else; HT is a good place to get misinformation about UD.
