ive tuned lots of DOHC. but SOHC is just killing me!!!!

ive done some mild sohc setup tuning and its running perfectly, but currently im tuning a d16 with pm7 piston and a shaved head. KNOCKING IS JUST EVERYWHERE! i've retarded the timing at 10deg idle and thats the only way i can think of to get rid of the knocking. fuel is already tuned, about 14.5 and 12.5 at WOT. but my timing map sucks big time. i cant advance! or else knock will everywhere.

anyone have pm7 piston in their d16/d15 vtecs? whats your dyno numbers?

 

wow wouldn't that put it at almost 14:1 compression?

 

i don't know. is there a compression calculator online for SOHC? its really freaking knocking if i advance the timing a little.

if the head is shaved, maybe in the 12's... what octane fuel is the car running?
engine management being used?
