Default Tuning question?

my setup:

B18C5
aem cold air intake
comtech header
comtech exhuast
aem cam gears
skunk 2 stage 3 camshaft w/ complete skunk valvetrain
str fuel rail
rc 440 cc injector
unothodox pulley

previous owner did a street tune on it years back. the car runs crappy. going to dyno tune it next week. is it going to be hard to tune my rough idle? what gains will i get? what WHP would i get. what do i need to know before the tune.

" thinking about higher compression pistons

you have way too much cam in that motor, get a less aggressive cam, or get some compression in that botoom end. Even skunk stage 2's see power losses with lower compression until about 6-6500 from what ive seen. I understand its an itr so the compression is higher, but not near high enough for a stage 3 cam

your right. i was thinkiing about some pistion, but at the same time i want to know what it can do with out high compression. if i get crappy numbers i probably get some je or wiseco. what kind of compression ratio piston would be high enough for my cams. i was thing 12:1+ or something. any suggestion.

just rid of the cams for some stage 2's and dont worry about pistons. too high of compression wont be good enough to daily drive on pump gas

your right about the daily driving. that means i have to sell my 3's to get the 2's. too much work. the pistons are cheaper then cams. i just want to know what they could do with some pistons. i heard alot of good stuff about the 2's but im half way there already, get it. but i wished i got the 2's. should of did some research. know any body with 3's
