Default Tuning B16 Ignition Tables

My '88 CRX/B16a hybrid was running 13.9s at 98 mph on street tires last week with my Spoon chipped PR3. Since I'm thinking of going turbo, I bought a Zdyne ECU and loaded up the default JDM B16a tune. I lost a full second on the track and I'm pretty sure it's because of the stock ignition tables on the Zdyne tune.

I've been told that the stock B16 wants 16 degrees advance BTC at idle. I need to know what the total advance should be. I plan on extrapolating the values in between to see how this works.

Here are the default B16 tune ignition values (you'll need to format the display):

If anyone has played around with Zdyne and can help me tune please let me know.

PS: For the experienced tuners out there:

The table shows values based on vacuum and RPM. There are some areas which I think will never exists such as 7400 PRM at full vacuum (idle) or 500 RPM at WOT! Do you simply ignore these areas? Please help me understand.

Thanks!

Default Re: Tuning B16 Ignition Tables (7rrivera7)

increase timing at 1"HG from 26 ish to 34, then keep increasing to around 36 ... this looks like the low cam table where is the high cam table ? or does the ZDYNE not have two tables ? if not then 7400 band is not good enough you need a band that goes to 9100 ... timing should look like a bell curve, i.e. peak timing = peak HP and comes down as yuou get further out in the band.

you base should be 15 when you set your distributor as shown in your table.
