i have a stripped bolt on my strut it the right side, i have the spring compressed but you know how you have to use a combination wrench and allen wrench to take the cap off the allen wrench part is stripped so when i try to unlosen the nut it just spins the bar inside the strut and wont come off need help

 

Impact gun.

If you don't need these again, cut it off or vise grips on the rod.

 

how brave are ya? whenever this happens to me. If these are lowered springs I usually leave the spring UNCOMPRESSED set the strut on the ground, put a barrell in front of it (to catch the nut) and zip that baby off with a impact gun. safety glasses highly recommended.

 

i dont have a impact gun but im going to a junk yard today so ill pick up another strut
