Default trottle cable help gsxritb/accord

i have gsxr itbs and my accord throttle cable is way to long brom where it mounts to the end of the cable

a 92 civic cable looks perfect but might not be long enough to go from the pedal to the itbs...

my question is can i shorten the end of the trottle cabel and put a new thiny on the end(dont knwo what there called )...or is there a way to cut the cable and join it together again .

thanks guys

with my former ITB setup, i built a new bracket for the throttle cable mount. thats much easier than messing with the cable usually.
