My 4th gen manual prelude won't go into reverse... it just doesn't go into revese what so ever, won't go down... could the transmittion be blowns..?? this garage said it was...i can't believe it..

 

have you looked at the cables to make sure they are free to go in.

does it completely block out reverse?

try also putting it in 1st and 3rd and try putting it in there as well as try going backwards at about 1/2 - 1 mph and try putting it in there that way.
