Default Which Transmission? What are my options?

Looking to buy a brand new transmission. What are my options, how much, and where can I order? I have a stock 97 Civic CX Hatch. Manual Transmission, 5 Gears.
Is there anything that will give me shorter gears? (Faster acceleration), because I'm geared pretty wide as it is.
All information would be great...Any and all information.

Thanks,
Meatball.

B16 tranny with the swap along with it, na but really I believe a tranny from the ex d series would do well, Im sure the gearing is a bit shorter

Actualy, I was thinking of doing a swap. I just don't know how much, and when I would get around to doing it.
Also, I was going to go with the B16. (I was going to go with the B18, but a friend told me the B16 was lighter, and had more bang for the buck.)

if you're gonna stay SOHC, go with a 92-95 Si/EX or 96-00 EX transmission. Those have the shortest gearing for a D-series engine. Then if you want, you can buy an SRR 4.7 final drive and really up the ante on the D tranny's. Actually I highly suggest the 4.7fd. I have a 94 EX coupe and I'm already jaded on the gearing compared to my K-series tranny i have in my hatch.

As for B-series, the best tranny is the 98+ (4.7fd) ITR tranny. The next trannys that would fall under this one would be any other ITR tranny and any B16A tranny (they share the same exact gear ratios).

There isn't somewhere online, where I can order one? (Be it new, or used).
Was hoping for something brand new =/
