Transmission Question
You will need the factory (Helms) manual for the year of the transmission.
I just got done rebuilding a YS1 and the manual was well worth it!!!!! There are all sorts of diagrams (not just one) that are needed.
Over my (extensive) years, I've rebuilt all sorts of transmissions (non-professional) and the Honda was the first that I've found where you really NEED the manual. They are not hard to do, but the manual helps get everything in the correct orientation.

Cool thanks for the info...Do you know where the easiest place I get a Helms...I checked there web site and couldnt find a honda specific manual..
Go to "helminc.com" and then to to the section for "aftermarket". You should find what you need there.
If that's where you already went, then try doing a search for any year that the transmission was made. As an example, the YS1 that I've got was made in both 92 and 93, so either manual would work.
I ended up using a 95 Integra manual and it was close enough to get the job done. Keep in mind that in 95, the clutch release was hydro, where as the 93 transmission I had was cable. As a result, I ended up using an old Haynes Civic manual for that area (the transmission wasn't all together when I bought it).
I don't think that Helms covers JDM cars.
If there is anything else that you think I can help you out with, e-mail me; wesvn@chevelles.com
