Default Transmission problem Help

This question is for a friend any advice would be great

i've got a 98 prelude sh. i can put my car in any gear when the car is turned off. when it's running, it WON'T go into gear. i CAN start it in gear, but it shakes the whole car and the rpms drop to like 50. i can kind of rev a bit and force it into gear, but the rpms drop and the whole car shakes. the car was driving fine and then it just happened. do i need to just look at getting a new clutch? i've got 85k miles. any other possibilities?

Yeah, the clutch is done. Look into an aftermarket clutch.
