Default Transmission problem!!

I need ANY GOOD input. Transmission was just recently installed. Car drove around town just fine. Jumped on the highway, pulling about 60 shifting from 4th to 5th, car lost drive. So, I coasted to a safe place and had it towed. The car seems to shift in all gears just fine. The gears are spinning because the speedometer actual measures the speed!! But, the car will not engage the tranny. I am assuming it is the throwout bearing. But, I dont know anything about it. The car has a new flywheel and clutch. The transmission was perfectly fine when it came out another car. The only thing that was not changed was the throwout bearing so that is why I am assuming that but... PLEASE LEAVE ME SOME FEEDBACK ON WHAT IT CAN BE!!

Someone said has something to do with axles not in right... it drove fine before. So I doubt that is it but... could it have something to do with the differential?? Need some input. Gonna cost a lot of money to have it pulled and taken apart. Rather know what it is!!

I was told that the axle might have popped out. Has anyone ever heard of this happening?? The mechanic said that he has seen it happen before. Told me to pop em out and pop em back in to see if that works. He said that if that isnt the problem, it may be the differential. Cant believe there are no tech guys here that has heard of this or can help.

did the snap ring on the end snap in. was it even there to begin with. sometimes they come off from getting moved around. it has happened to me. if one axle doesnt turn then neither will turn

Exactly correct.

FINALLY SOMEBODY TRYING TO HELP. THANKS!!!

Yeah it was on there and i would totally assume it went all the way cause it rested against the casing like it was before it was removed. But, I'm gonna pull em and try again. I wont rule out anything!! So, got another question. If one DID come partly out, even with LSD, the other wont spin?

Havent messed with it yet. I dropped a stock tranny in the other car it came out of. Only have one day a week to work on it so, maybe next week. I tried to look at the axles and it "looks" like they are still flush with the tranny. But, I'm gonna try and pull em and reinstall those first. I swear, spend thousands of dollars just to run into unforseen problems. Getting too old for this ish. HAHA. . Probably post this car for sale if I ever get it on the road and tuned out!!

damnit. i checked the axles and they are sure as hell locked in there. Broke my big *** screwdriver trying to pop one out too!! I am hoping its just the differential and not the gears!! (Hopefully my quaife is still good in the other tranny). There is no other logical explanation for it not getting the power from the tranny to the axles.
