Default transmission identifying

Hey guys. I have a cable ls transmission sittin in tha basement. I don't know what year car it came out of. Is there any way to tell what car it is from by counting the teeth on the imput shaft or anything. I can't check the badge number on the trans to tell, because there isn't one.
TIA

could pop axles in it and could the rotation, to figure out final drive. that would determine if it is a vtec.

Tho I don't see too many LS cable trannies... Count the splines on the mainshaft and let me know how many you find, I'll let you know if it's considered the big or little shaft... I know the VTEC ones only because I work with them more often and you'll either have the big shaft or the small one... Y1/S1/J1 are normally all have the small shaft where as the YS1 runs the big shaft... But yea, let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible...
