Default Transmission help please

i have a 95 b18b witha 99 vtec head with some skunk cams, etc. my problem is in the upper RPMS my tranny started to lock out gears, i mean it won't go in gears in rpms above 5k. the tranny is a pre 98 GSR tranny, no serial numbers. this all started wheni first put my lsvtec together, i was messing around with it. on the 3rd or 4th day i was getting on the freeway, in 3rd gear, pulling up to 7k rpm. i was gonna shift to 4th, but it wouldnt go in. i skipped it and went to 5th, and kept driving. when i got off the free way, i had to get it out of 5th gear, and it was pretty stuck.. ever since then i've been having stiff shifts. when i'm just driving around town, its a little stiff, but not too much, mainly when i'm taking it high up in the rpms.. i can't race any ricers!... at idle , at stop lights it feels fine, just when i move.. even around 3 and for 4k it feels alittle stiff, but atleast it goes in gear, in the higher rpms it just doesnt go in. any help on this would be appreciated.. thanks alot.

Drain the tranny fluid. check its condition if it smells bad, somethings fried. if its ok then probably the clutch. hope that helps. oh and when you refill it takes about 2.4qts.

Exactly, I'd definately check tranny fluid first, just check the level (make sure theres enough in it) and drain a little to look for excessive metal flakes. More than likely not the problem there though. Then i'd drop the tranny and check everything, clutch, t/o bearing, pilot bearing, and flywheel face.
