Default Transmission Fluid question

I want to race my civic and I want to use Redline transmission fluid. When I told this to the service manager at honda he said you can only use honda transmission fluid or it may damage the tranny, is that true and is there exceptions?

Honda MTF is the good stuff to use, but 10w-30 can also be used without messing anything up.

well, pull apart a tranny that has used Redline, the switched back to dino oil. There will still be GLOBS of red stuff in the tranny even after 20,000 miles of dino oil usuage.

Honda MTF unless you have LSD.

is there a fluid that you can use to flush the tranny of redline/any other brand of tranny oil?

I used switched back to Honda MTL after using Redline in my Accord for about a year and a half. I have a slight tranny whine that I swear got worse after using Redline for a while. With the Honda MTL the tranny still shifts nice as smooth, hot or cold.
